I have earned a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from Aristotle University in Thessaloniki Greece and a Master of Arts in Physical Education from Western Michigan University in Michigan. I worked for 10 years as a physical educator for primary and secondary public schools in Greece and since 2008 I have been working as a physical educator for Archimedean Upper Conservatory. In 2011 I was also assigned the position of Athletic Director for Archimedean Middle Conservatory and Archimedean Upper Conservatory. Through my every day communication with our students I try to guide them to be physically active and make healthy lifestyle decisions.
I have been part of the Archimedean Athletics Family since August 2009. I’ve coached Boys and Girls Middle School and High School Volleyball since the inception of the Volleyball Program. I played 4 year of HS Volleyball at Miami Sunset Sr. High and won the State Championship Class 6A in 1995. I played 4 years Club Volleyball at South Florida Volleyball Club and Played 1 Year at Miami Dade College – Kendall Campus.
I was born and raised in Costa Rica. I graduated from the University of Costa Rica with B.A. in Physical Education. I’ve been a member of the Archimedean Academy family since 2009 as an ACC leader, substitute teacher and athletics’ Coach(Soccer, Track and field, Cross Country and Volleyball assistant).
I have been part of the Archimedean family since 2017. I will be going into my third season with Archimedean Swimming this year. I have been a competitive swimmer since I was 6 years old and swam up until my first year of college. I have been teaching swimming and coaching swimming for 10 years now. I am getting my bachelors in sports management and will continue with my masters in physical therapy.
Head Coach Gabriel Osorio first started with the Girls Soccer Program in the fall of 2017. Throughout his youth soccer career, he played at Pinecrest Premier, Kendall Coalition and the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy. In June of 2015, he graduated from Archimedean where he shortly went on to play Division III soccer for two years at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. Osorio currently attends Florida International University studying Economics and Business Management.
In the 2017-18 season, Coach Gabriel helped the Archimedean Upper Conservatory Girls win their 3rd straight District Championship and reach the Regional Finals for the first time in program history. In his first year, the girls soccer team finished with a 19-3 record and a plus 85 goal differential. Coach Gabriel’s win percentage in his first two years in charge is 83.2% and he presently holds 2 District Championships under his name.
I have been apart of Archimedean since the beginning. My sister was one of the first students to enroll in the school at its inception. I have officially been apart of the sports program since 2010. I started with middle school basketball and flag football and eventually coached the Varsity High School Basketball team. I have coached for 10 years now and worked briefly with the FIU Men’s Basketball team in 2012.
