Dear Archimedean Families,
In view of the Schools Closure due to COVID-19 virus and following the most recent developments please note the following:
- Miami Dade Public Schools has announced today that beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 to Friday, March 20, 2020, meals will be available for all students between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at all traditional Miami-Dade Public School sites. Charter school students of Free – Reduced and Paid meal status are encouraged to participate. Please make sure you have the student id with you.
- FDA, National School Lunch Program has announced earlier today to share the link below with parents/ guardians for resources on what locations will be serving meals in their area that they can bring their child to for a meal. Some mobile routes will also be available; as indicated on the website below. Please note: Meals will only be served during unanticipated closures. If the school was scheduled for spring break, meals will not be served during this time https://summerbreakspot.freshfromflorida.com/ (Please be patient with the site in the event the site is sluggish, there may be heavy traffic on the site)
- Archimedean Schools due to low demand and in order to minimize traffic and exposure of employees and families to unnecessary trips have decided to suspend the meal program offered for the days of closure. We continue monitoring the guidelines from MDCPS and NSLP and we will keep you posted on any developments for next week of school closure.
Thank you for your understanding and patience during these difficult times.
Please feel free to contact me via email should you have any questions or concerns, monitor all emails from Archimedean Schools AND STAY SAFE.
