Kathryn Hemingway was born and raised in Burlington, North Carolina. Upon the completion of her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Bob Jones University, she moved to Miami, Florida to begin her teaching career. This is her seventh year of teaching. She has taught first, second, fourth, and fifth grades. This is her second year teaching Language Arts. Last year, Ms. Hemingway completed all of the coursework for both her Reading and ESOL endorsements. She is currently working on her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Florida International University. Her primary goal as an educator is to foster a love of lifelong learning for all of her scholars.
