For over 15 years Archimedean Community Center (ACC) summer campers have spent their time at play in outdoors and indoors activities designed to help them grow confidently and learn social life skills while having the time of their lives. Indoor fun activities will alert campers’ minds and curiosity, providing them with a well-balanced developmental environment.
Our Goal
We strive to make each Camper’s experience unforgettable. ACC wants our campers to be exactly who they are while challenging themselves in a safe, inclusive, and supportive community. The staff and leadership team encourage campers of all ages to step outside their comfort zone and experience first hand learning alongside their friends. With seasoned directors and experienced senior and support staff on site, we work as a team, making sure we take care of each and every one of our campers.
Friendship
Campers and staff at ACC make everlasting friendships that will be treasured for years to come. As many of our returning campers will confirm there is a special magic that exists in our camp; the songs, the silly games, and the memories are all parts of our summer experience.
The Archimedean Summer Camp uses the Facilities of Archimedean Schools located in the beautiful area of Horse Country, an agricultural oasis within the residential area of Kendall Miami, Dade County, Florida. The facilities provide several open fields for outdoor activities, sports, and exercise, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, classrooms, Cafeterias, library, labs and, playgrounds.
Summer is an opportunity for wonderful new adventures, making friends, and learning through fun activities. By learning about the campers’ goals and needs, helping them have a wonderful time and formulate great memories, we engage with each child and we foster a sense of exploration, creativity, and growth. Whether the goal is to get involved in sports, to be creative and learn, make new friends, tackle homesickness or tell a great joke, our staff is there, listening and helping them every step of the way as they look after each child’s physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.
A Fun Place to Learn And Grow. Experiential learning, trying new things in a safe and inclusive, while making memories and friendships are the cornerstones of what we do and what we have always done. Campers will come into their summer with curiosity and enthusiasm and leave a little more confident, a little more outgoing, and with a lasting memory of this truly special time. Our most important goal at ACC Camp is to foster a nurturing environment for all children, where they can grow as individuals and as a group.
At the very core of ACC Camp is our staff, made up of teachers, education majors, college athletes, and coaches, among other young professionals.
