Kostakis, Onoufrios | Science

He graduated from the University of Piraeus of Applied Sciences, School of Engineering (SENG), Department of Computer Systems Engineering, in Greece.

His postgraduate studies were completed at the Open University of Cyprus, within the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, specializing in Information Systems.

Prior to joining Archimedean Middle Conservatory (AMC) and Archimedean Upper Conservatory (AUC), he worked as a teacher of Informatics in public middle and high schools in Greece from 2000 to 2022.

He also served as a Laboratory Partner (part-time) at the Technological Educational Institute of Peloponnese in Kalamata.

From 2019 to 2022, he was the Vice President of the Robotics and New Technologies Teachers’ Association of Kalamata.

He also served as an Ambassador of the World Robot Olympiad Hellas in the Peloponnese district from 2018 to 2020.

Between 2015 and 2022, he volunteered to teach robotics classes to students free of charge.

During the same period, he coached robotics teams that earned distinctions in the National Finals of Robotics in Greece.

He represented Greece in the International Robotics Finals as both a team coach and a judge, participating in competitions held in Costa Rica (2017), Thailand (2018), and Hungary (2019).

He joined Archimedean Schools during the 2022–2023 school year.

In 2023, he coached three AUC teams in the U.S. National Final of the World Robot Olympiad Competition.

The three teams achieved outstanding placements of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place in the national finals, qualifying Archimedean to represent the United States at the International Final hosted in Panama.
