The AMC Debate Team competed in the Archimedean Model United Nations Conference (ArchieMUN VI) on November 1st, 2025. As always, they excelled.
Under the guidance of their coach, Dr. Leonidas Konstantakos, the team delivered multiple speeches as representatives and delegates of their assigned countries and drafted resolutions addressing real-world issues, such as the refugee crisis caused by environmental degradation and the ongoing conflict in the Sudanese Civil War.
Students spent weeks researching their countries, studying the nuances of diplomacy and negotiation, and practicing public speaking. Throughout this process, they learned far more than they expected—about history, environmental studies, security studies, and international relations.
Although they do not need awards to prove their talent and dedication, they nonetheless received numerous recognitions at ArchieMUN. In fact, the AMC Debate Team won every award presented in their respective committees, and one delegate earned two.
We are immensely proud of our Debate Team and confident that the problems of the future will be tackled by some of the brightest minds.
