Greetings, young musicians. My name is Juan Montes. I graduated from Miami-Dade College with an A.A. in Music Education and earned a B.M. in Commercial Music from Florida Atlantic University.

I hold 21 years of experience playing the guitar and a decade of experience teaching music.

It is my goal as a music educator to help each student find their own unique musical voice. Whether it be on guitar or piano, my students have always gone on to experience the joy of music through hard work.

First, they learn an instrument, and then they perform in front of their peers to demonstrate their proficiency. I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as being “tone-deaf” or not having any musical ability within oneself. We all have it—it just takes the right environment to awaken it!

I look forward to creating that environment every day at Archimedean, where I have been enjoying my time teaching music since joining in 2023.
