Mitsou, Georgios | Grade 8 Greek Mathematics

I am a Greek mathematician with 32 years of experience teaching mathematics in both public schools and the private sector in Greece.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

I also earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Teaching and Methodology in Mathematics through studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the University of Cyprus.

I served as a Vice Principal in a Greek school for two years and have contributed as a co-author of several Mathematics teaching books.

I strongly believe that learning is a lifelong value.

Throughout my career, I have actively participated in courses and professional training programs that support the development of innovative teaching methods.

My interests include the integration of Information Technology and New Technologies into the classroom, as well as the use of effective instructional scaffolding to enhance student learning.

I have traveled throughout Europe, collaborating with fellow educators through European training programs and exchanging best practices in teaching.

I began teaching at Archimedean Academy in November 2017, excited to become part of such a challenging and supportive school environment.
