Congratulations Owls
Dear Archimedean Community,
Recently, we welcomed with excitement the news that Archimedean Upper Conservatory has been ranked as the #1 High School in Miami-Dade in the 2024 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “Best U.S. High Schools,” reaffirming our commitment to providing our students with a top-quality education. A.U.C. does not just stand out as the best regionally, however. A.U.C. is also ranked #51 in the U.S. out of over 25,000 other institutions!
As a sign of our continual and unwavering commitment to opening doors of opportunity that may otherwise remain shut or harder to attain for our students, A.U.C. has ranked among the Top-100 best high schools in the country uninterrupted since 2014, by the U.S. News & World Report annual survey. This survey, first published in 2007, evaluates data on all U.S. public high schools across several quality indicators, including students’ college readiness, state assessment performance and proficiency, performance of underserved students, breadth of the schools college preparatory curriculum, and graduation rates. We are beyond pleased to see our collective efforts reflected in this recognition and to have A.U.C. consistently ranked among the very absolute best in the U.S. We take pride in being able to support our students’ impressive academic growth and college admission successes, year after year, while maintaining our open enrollment policy, unlike other institutions that select their student body, A.U.C. instead welcomes every interested student and family and working hard to provide them with an environment, the guidance, and the nurturing needed to dream big and achieve greatness.
A.U.C. also ranked #11 among the country’s ~3,000 charter schools (#2 east of the Mississippi river) and is one of only seven high schools in the state of Florida (#1 in all of South Florida) to be acknowledged as one of the Top-500 Best High Schools for S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)! A.U.C. has also routinely placed among the Top-100 top high schools in the nation in other rankings, such as those by Niche and the Jay Mathews /The Washington Post Challenge Index.
Archimedean’s top placement at the national, state, and district level, including the charter, and S.T.E.M. subcategories, is due to and an acknowledgment of the hard work, dedication, high expectations, and excellence that characterizes our students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni.
But the good news doesn’t stop there! After exemplary performances on this year’s State assessments in English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, both Archimedean Middle Conservatory (A.M.C.) and A.U.C. have placed among the very top in Florida, each ranking #4 based on data released this week by the Florida Department of Education on school performance and grades!
We are beyond pleased to see our collective efforts reflected in these recognitions and to have A.U.C. consistently ranked among the very best in the U.S. I would like to congratulate every member of our school community for these impressive achievements.
Congratulations to every member of our school community for this impressive recognition!!!
