Congratulations to our AMC Science Olympiad Teams!
It is with great honor to share the success of our Science Olympiad teams in two highly competitive tournaments. Our students had represented the school in two Invitational Competitions organized under the umbrella of the State Science Olympiad. It is important to mention that the Rickards Invitational Tournament, which took place on December 6th, 2020, was organized on the national level and our students competed with schools from the east to the west coast! The competition, rivalry, and quality of the tournament were highly competitive, and our Archie Owls Alpha team placed 15th out of 45 schools. That is an impressive achievement considering the wide array of participating schools.
The second tournament our school participated in, which took place on December 12th, 2020, was the Florida State Invitational Tournament. Both our teams did an amazing job and continued the tradition of AMC’s excellence in this tournament. The Archie Owls Alpha team placed 2nd, and the Archie Owls Beta team placed 10th overall out of 34 participating teams.
Please join me in congratulating these students for their hard work, determination, endless hours of studying, building, testing, and repeating it all over again till they were satisfied with their results.
At the same time, we need to thank all the coaches for their time, dedication, and support they provided our students. Specifically, I would like to acknowledge the exceptional work of Ms. Winkle, Ms. Louidor, Mr. Shahin, and Ms. Caban.
