Dear Archimedean Community,
Humanities, such as philosophy and history, have served a critical role in academic curriculum, but what’s especially exceptional is that one can find this delicate balance between humanities and sciences even at the elementary level—here at Archimedean Academy. History, in particular, teaches us how the past shapes the world we live in today. In a time when facts are often debated and context matters more than ever, studying history helps students think deeply, ask better questions, and understand the forces behind human progress.
Rising Historian Scholars
At the Southeast Florida Spring Regional Tournament for the History Bee at FAU’s A.D. Henderson University School, Archimedean Academy students once again demonstrated that love of learning and intellectual curiosity can lead to remarkable results. The competition itself celebrates students who have mastered a wide range of historical knowledge, making every placement a reflection of both dedication and passion.
This year, Massimo Bejar earned 2nd place (leftmost in top photo), Micaella Rivera earned 3rd place (rightmost), and Ivy Xue earned 4th place (middle) in the Elementary School division. Massimo also showed remarkable improvement from the Miami Winter History Bee, where he placed 3rd, a sign of growth and persistence that deserves special recognition.
Breaking Glass Ceilings
Even more meaningful, Archimedean continues to break patterns in a field where boys often predominate. For the second consecutive year, our female students are among the winners, making Archimedean the only elementary school with multiple female winners and consecutive female winners over the last two years. In a day and age when representation matters, this is an achievement worth celebrating.
The continued growth of our History Club, the strong participation, and the inspiring performance of our students reflect something inspiring: a thriving academic culture where young historians are making their mark. At Archimedean, history is not just studied—it is lived through the achievements of students who are helping shape the future.
Congratulations to all of our students and mentor Mr. Jose Carbia, our 5th-grade Philosophy for Children Teacher, for representing Archimedean with excellence, confidence, and pride.

Querida Comunidad de Archimedean:
Las humanidades, como la filosofía y la historia, han desempeñado un papel fundamental en el currículo académico; pero lo que resulta especialmente excepcional es poder encontrar ese delicado equilibrio entre humanidades y ciencias incluso en el nivel elemental, aquí en Archimedean Academy. La historia, en particular, nos enseña cómo el pasado moldea el mundo en el que vivimos hoy. En una época en la que los hechos suelen debatirse y el contexto importa más que nunca, el estudio de la historia ayuda a los estudiantes a pensar con mayor profundidad, a formular mejores preguntas y a comprender las fuerzas que impulsan el progreso humano.
Nuevos Historiadores en Ascenso
En el Torneo Regional de Primavera del sureste de Florida de la History Bee, realizado en A.D. Henderson University School de FAU, los estudiantes de Archimedean Academy demostraron una vez más que el amor por el aprendizaje y la curiosidad intelectual pueden traducirse en resultados extraordinarios. La competencia en sí misma celebra a los estudiantes que han dominado una amplia variedad de conocimientos históricos, haciendo que cada puesto obtenido refleje dedicación y pasión.
Este año, Massimo Bejar obtuvo el 2.º lugar (el más a la izquierda en la foto superior), Micaella Rivera obtuvo el 3.º lugar (a la derecha), e Ivy Xue obtuvo el 4.º lugar (en el centro) en la división de escuela primaria. Massimo también mostró una mejora notable con respecto a la History Bee de invierno en Miami, donde había obtenido el 3.er lugar, una señal de crecimiento y perseverancia que merece un reconocimiento especial.
Rompiendo Barreras
Aún más significativo es que Archimedean continúa rompiendo patrones en un campo donde los niños suelen predominar. Por segundo año consecutivo, nuestras estudiantes se encuentran entre las ganadoras, convirtiendo a Archimedean en la única escuela elemental con múltiples ganadoras femeninas y con ganadoras femeninas consecutivas durante los últimos dos años. En una época en la que la representación importa, este es un logro que merece celebrarse.
El crecimiento continuo de nuestro History Club, la fuerte participación y el desempeño inspirador de nuestros estudiantes reflejan algo verdaderamente alentador: una cultura académica vibrante donde jóvenes historiadores están dejando su huella. En Archimedean, la historia no solo se estudia: se vive a través de los logros de estudiantes que están ayudando a moldear el futuro.
