Born and raised in a family of Miami-Dade educators, Jose Carbia has dedicated his career to modeling the art of thinking. He received a B.A. in philosophy from Florida International University while expanding his educational experience through county-wide substitute teaching. This preparation well served subsequent work as a middle and high school teacher of ELA and Social Studies where his efforts and proven performance led to increased test scores which enabled a transition to teach logic and crafting an advanced reading curriculum for charter schools. Now he strives to animate the 5thgrade Philosophy for Children program at the Archimedean Academy, introducing young scholars to the foundation of academic pursuits.
