Mr. Jose Carbia was born and raised in a family of Miami-Dade educators and has dedicated his career to modeling the art of thinking.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Florida International University, while expanding his educational experience through county-wide substitute teaching.

This preparation supported his work as a Middle School and High School teacher of English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies.

His efforts and proven performance contributed to improved test scores and led to opportunities in teaching Logic and developing an advanced reading curriculum for charter schools.

He now focuses on leading the 5th Grade Philosophy for Children program at Archimedean Academy, introducing young scholars to the foundations of academic inquiry and critical thinking.
