Dr. Sivia Infante | Trust Counselor

My name is Dr. Silvia Infante and I am the Trust Counselor for Archimedean Middle Conservatory. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Theatre from the University of Miami. A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Saint Thomas University. A secondary Masters in the Science of Psychology and Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from Carlos Albizu University.

I completed my Predoctoral Internship in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Northeast Treatment Centers (NET) and Special People in the Northeast (SPIN). I completed my postdoctoral internship at NET conducting autism evaluations, biopsychosocial evaluations and running parent training for parents of children diagnosed with Autism.

I started my career in 2007 as a mental health counselor at the Institute for Children and Family Health providing mental health services for children ages 5–17 until 2014 when I moved to Philadelphia for my Predoctoral Internship.

During my time in Philadelphia, I continued my work with children in need of mental health services through conducting psychosocial evaluations to assist in connecting them to behavioral supports in the home and school setting; as well as conducting autism evaluations on children ages 3–17 years old.

Most of my evaluations were conducted in Philadelphia Schools in order to connect children to behavioral supports through the School Therapeutic Services (STS) program; as well as conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments until 2021 when I moved back to Miami given a desire to provide mental health supports to the community that I grew up in. In 2024, I began working for Archimedean Middle & Upper Conservatory.

My philosophy to counseling is to provide the student with the support necessary to become the best version of themselves and to unlock their potential within through learning coping skills, study techniques, and time management strategies.

It is important that my students feel empowered and confident in their ability to tackle any challenge they encounter in their daily curriculum or life while feeling unconditional support. Self-Advocacy is an important goal as a young scholar at Archimedean Middle & Upper Conservatory in order to ensure their voices are heard as they develop skills related to growth and independence and to ensure that each student has a successful and enriching academic career.
