Archimedean-Middle-Conservatory-(AMC)-students-in-the-South-Florida-Regional-Science-and-Engineering-Fair

Congratulations to all three of our students and their Science teachers who supported them: Ms. Winkle, Ms. Louidor, and Mr. Shahin.

Three Archimedean Middle Conservatory (AMC) students participated in the South Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Pranav Rai (7th Grade), Sophia Reyes (8th Grade), and Emily Tsiros (8th Grade) had unique and important discoveries about our world.

Pranav researched the use of ferrofluids to help clean oil spills. Sophia researched bioplastics to help solve the problem of plastic pollution. Emily has explored microgravity since 6th grade, and has studied objects, fluids, and recently the behavior of a flame in microgravity.

For the first time, two AMC students have made it to the State competitions. Both Emily and Pranav have advanced to the State Science Fair on March 30th! The competition will be held virtually this year.
