Archimedean Robotics Teams Represented the USA at the 2024 WRO in Turkey

The year 2024 has brought another remarkable achievement for the Archimedean Robotics Teams.

Our Archimedean Upper Conservatory teams, alongside our dedicated Archimedean Middle Conservatory teams, demonstrated exceptional performance at the World Robotics Olympiad WRO National Competition held in July 2024 in California.

After securing top positions at the U.S. Conference, two of our high school teams and one of our middle school teams earned the honor of representing the United States at the WRO International Competition held in Izmir, Turkey, from November 28-30, 2024.

It was a privilege and an honor for our Archimedean Schools team members to be selected to carry the flag of the United States during the awards ceremony.

In the Robo-Mission category, our teams, under the guidance of Coach Mr. Onoufrios Kostakis, displayed exceptional skills and creativity at this prestigious global event.

The 2024 WRO in Izmir saw the participation of 562 teams from 87 countries, with over 1,200 competitors taking on various robotics challenges, including Robo-Mission, Robo-Sports, and Young Robotics Innovators.

In their debut year at the WRO, the Archimedean Middle Conservatory Robotics Team, consisting of Milaan Panchal, Augusto Ulloa, and Shrilasmi Pilai, accomplished an extraordinary feat. This team ranked #24 in the world in the Robo-Mission category, out of 114 teams in the junior category, and finished in 1st place among all other U.S. teams.

Additionally, the Archimedean Upper Conservatory Team Gamma, featuring Marco Rivera, Evan Mangual, and Kimon Gerasopoulos Pappas, and the Archimedean Delta Team, composed of Hrit-Mani Khanal, Jenna-Lee Laing, and Roque Arduengo, delivered impressive performances in the Robo-Mission category, competing against 104 teams representing the best from 87 countries worldwide.
